Joe joined SA Safety after he heard about us from an ex-Marine colleague. After getting the necessary training in place at our C&G accredited training facility, Joe joined the team and has worked as a Rescue Team member and Rescue Team Leader on high-risk sites across the southwest.
The skills that the Royal Marines have given me I feel in many ways have set me up for life. Having a strong foundation in maintaining personal and professional standards has served me well in a variety of jobs that I have had since leaving.
I found SA Safety through a friend and former Royal Marine who was already part of the team. Since joining SA Safety I have had roles as a Rescue Team Member and later Rescue Team Leader, working at multiple different sites. Skills from my military background that have aided me in this job include having high standards of communication, organisation and self-discipline, enabling me to work in a safety role within the high-risk utilities, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
I enjoy working at SA Safety because it is with professional people who are like-minded, many of them ex-military. I would recommend them to anyone who has recently left the military and is interested in Rescue Team work, because SA Safety offer a high degree of training and support, and the team are all brilliant.
